Practical Tools for Effective Leadership

The IMA Jordan Chapter (JAMA) conducted 3 days leadership workshop in cooperation with Management Executive Training Institute of Canada under the topic of “Practical Tools for Effective Leadership”. The workshop was conducted from October 11th till the 13th, 2016 in the Grand Hyatt Hotel – Amman. This 18 hours training were given to thirteen seniors from reputable corporations in Amman. The aim of this training was to help seniors who are seeking strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire others to drive results. The workshop included small group discussions, exercises, and self-assessment instruments to help them in:

•Becoming a change master that encourages innovative thought and behavior

•Developing skills to reinforce behavior and motivation of peak performers

•Discovering the power of emotional intelligence

•Applying the concept of Manager Vs. Leader roles

The tools that were used in the workshop also helped the participants in:

•Coaching & Mentoring

•Applying  Leadership Concepts in a simulated business cases

•Developing a plan for action

As a result participants gained knowledge and understanding of the difference between Leadership and Management. The workshop was comprehensive and the course evaluation identified positive outcomes.
