Your Career. Your Story Seminar

JAMA hosted 120 students from 6 universities in Jordan to participate in the seminar “Your Career. Your Story”  that was held in ZARA Expo Auditorium & was sponsored by  EY Jordan.

This event was conducted to bring together university students to create awareness of how to be ready for the work field & illustrate how to build a channel that will bridge the students with the working world. 

The Seminar was led by JAMA Board members, Mr. Raslan Deiranieh & Mr. Ahmad Awartani, Mr. Rishi Malhotra, the Academic and Community Relations Manager for IMA & Mr. Ahmad Abu Asabeh from EY.

The topics that were discussed in the event were: The importance of the professional designations in general & the CMA certificate in particular; the advantage of creating IMA Student Chapters in the universities where it will assist students in making career decisions, and providing community service. EY also shared the aspects and areas multinational organizations consider in their recruitment procedure and explained types of skills needed to be acquired and/or developed in order to be selected in a recruitment interview.

The seminar was also the starting point to enroll students in the “2018 IMA Middle East Student Case Study” where students will have the opportunity to showcase their knowledge in front of a panel of industry experts. The winning team will receive $3,000 and the runner up team $2,000.

The universities that participated in the seminar were: Al Ahliyya Amman University, American University of Madaba, German Jordanian University, Petra University, Princess Sumaya University for Technology & The Hashemite University. 

This seminar was the first of many events to come in 2018 by JAMA that are going to be specifically directed to students in order to enhance & develop competitive skills.
